Every Card a Work of Art

Posada Playing Cards by Prospero Art

New deck celebrates the distinctive art of Jose Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913), the Mexican political artist whose work has influenced many with its satirical use of skulls and bones to make political and cultural critiques. Posada illustrated all kinds of characters: revolutionaries, politicians, drunks, elegant ladies, bull fighters, and workers, among others. His skeletons portray the sorrows and joys of a wide variety of people.

Standard poker size deck of plasticized playing cards with three jokers and a biography card. Published by Prospero Art. ISBN 978-0-939431-74-8
