Humboldt Redwoods State Park Map
Redwood Hikes Press
A major North Coast attraction, Humboldt Redwoods State Park is home to both Avenue of the Giants and to the largest contiguous stand of old-growth redwoods in existence today.
Other than the official map sold at the park, this is the only printed trail map of the park that is currently available. The front of the map shows the main body of the park, while the back of the map shows the north and south extensions along the Eel River that encompass Avenue of the Giants along with several smaller parks located just south of Humboldt Redwoods: Richardson Grove State Park, Benbow Lake State Recreation Area, and DeWitt Redwoods State Natural Reserve. Also on the back is a regional road map that covers the area from Humboldt lagoons to Leggett.
All official hiking trails were drawn from newly-acquired GPS data. In addition, nearly all roads are shown and labeled. Trail mileages are marked, and the map also shows the locations of memorial grove markers, footbridges, panoramic viewpoints, and steps. Areas of old-growth redwoods are shaded in dark green, and a UTM grid is provided to help with GPS navigation.
