These two populous counties include more than 130 miles of coastline. Even in this populous region  miles of gorgeous beaches, both popular and uncrowded, combine with dramatic geographical features like the wild Santa Monica Mountains, the rugged Palos Verdes Peninsula, and the beautiful Laguna Hills.

You'll also find major coastal wetlands, Santa Monica Bay, several small boat harbors, and the vast commercial harbors at San Pedro and Long Beach. Although it's a desert region, several rivers and numerous creeks crisscross the map, including Los Angeles River, San Gabriel River and Santa Ana River. In the north, west corner the map covers the southern portion of Ventura County as far north as Oxnard. It also has snow-covered peaks, extensive parks and all those freeways. You'll find them all on this spectacular map.
